Fashion fans are flocking to V Vintage, the new jewel box shop in Beverly Hills that’s selling some of the finest vintage costume jewelry and accessories in town. “I am enamored with the design and the history of these pieces,” says owner Jill Garland, who features a rotating selection of Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Kenneth Jay Lane and Lanvin at her by-appointment salon. “I truly look for things that are not only wearable, but what I would want to wear myself.” In addition to jewelry, Garland has a top-notch selection of vintage handbags and belts from designers such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Judith Leiber and Fendi.

New York native Jill Garland always had an interest in style and jewelry, but it wasn’t until moving to Los Angeles and working in the fashion industry that the passion started flourishing. “Even though they are vintage, I look for pieces that are modern and fit in with today’s fashion and lifestyle,” explains Garland, who co-owns Porta Via restaurant in Beverly Hills with her husband Peter Garland. “They can be mixed with your real jewelry and no one would know.” “When you buy a piece of vintage, whether it be jewelry or a handbag, you buy a story and a bit of poetry to go along with it”, say’s Garland.

Along with her partner and mother-in-law Paula Garland, who owned the Rodeo Drive clothing store Mr. G for 25 years, V Vintage is fast becoming a must stop shop for local collectors and those in the know.
